After-School Programs

Orchard Hill Elementary families have two after-school options: the Rogue Valley Family YMCA’s Campus Connection program located at Orchard Hill and the Boys & Girls Club program located at Phoenix Elementary School.

YMCA Campus Connection at Orchard Hill

The Rogue Valley Family YMCA’s Campus Connection program operates on-site at Orchard Hill Elementary. The program provides a safe, supportive and structured environment where students can receive homework assistance, stay active and participate in enrichment activities.

Program Information

  • Location: Orchard Hill Elementary School

  • 2026–27 program dates: September 8, 2026–June 17, 2027
  • Hours: School dismissal–6 p.m. on days school is in session
  • Full-week enrollment: $90 per week
  • Daily enrollment: $20 per day

Families may select only the weeks and days when care is needed.

Program activities may include:

  • Homework support
  • STEM exploration
  • Arts and creative activities
  • Physical education
  • Nutrition education
  • Daily physical activity
  • Healthy snacks

The program maintains a staff-to-student ratio of 1:15. YMCA staff check students in when they arrive and check them out when they leave.

No-School Days and School Breaks

The regular Campus Connection program operates only on days when school is in session. The YMCA offers separate registration options for certain no-school days, winter and spring breaks, and summer camps.

Financial assistance may be available to qualifying families.

Boys & Girls Club at Phoenix Elementary

Orchard Hill students may also enroll in the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley after-school program located at Phoenix Elementary School.

The program provides activities supporting academic success, healthy lifestyles, creativity, leadership and recreation. Meals or snacks are also provided.

Transportation from Orchard Hill

Phoenix-Talent School District provides after-school bus transportation from Orchard Hill Elementary to the Boys & Girls Club program at Phoenix Elementary School for participating students.

Families must:

  • Register their child directly with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley.
  • Make the necessary transportation arrangements with Orchard Hill Elementary before their child begins riding the bus.
  • Arrange to pick up their child from the Boys & Girls Club at Phoenix Elementary.

  • Hours: 2:30–6 p.m., Monday through Friday

Current fees, scholarship opportunities and space availability are provided directly by the Boys & Girls Club.
