Early learning opportunities for Orchard Hill families
Orchard Hill Elementary School is proud to partner with the Ashland Family YMCA to offer preschool services on our campus.
The YMCA Preschool Program provides a safe, nurturing learning environment where children build friendships, develop confidence, and gain the foundational skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.
Through play-based learning and hands-on activities, children explore literacy, math, science, art, music, movement, and social-emotional development in a structured school setting.

The preschool program is operated by the Ashland Family YMCA and is located on the Orchard Hill Elementary campus.
Program hours
Half-Day Program
Monday–Friday
7:45 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Full-Day Program
Monday–Friday
7:45 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2026 to enroll for the 2026–2027 school year.
Program highlights
Children have opportunities each day to:
- Build early literacy and language skills
- Explore math and science through play
- Participate in art, music, and movement activities
- Develop fine and gross motor skills
- Practice problem-solving and critical thinking
- Learn classroom routines and school-readiness skills
- Build friendships and positive social skills
The program focuses on developing the whole child and fostering a love of learning through meaningful, age-appropriate experiences.
Tuition and financial assistance
A non-refundable materials and supplies fee of $175 is due at registration.
Monthly tuition
Full-Day Program: $1,600 per month
Half-Day Program: $1,200 per month
Financial assistance may be available for qualifying families.
The YMCA accepts:
- Employment Related Day Care (ERDC)
- YMCA Financial Assistance
